Amal Clooney

Amal Clooney, who was born Amal Alamuddin, a Lebanon native, is a Lebanese as well as British barrister who was an activist for human rights for many years. A graduate of Oxford University School of Law as well as New York University School of Law is recognized internationally in her professional career and for her achievements within the field of the international law of human rights. The clients she has worked with have been numerous nation states, including the state of Armenia in its fight for recognition of Armenia's participation in the Armenian Genocide by the Turkish government. Amal Clooney was engaged, and later was married to American actor George Clooney, instantly making her one of the most famous names in pop culture. In the past, she was well-known for her ability to successfully represent her clients in court and earned a good name. Her work spans the spectrum of social justice, human rights issues to representing multinational companies during negotiations or court cases regarding government regulations.
