Alexandra-Maria-Lara

Alexandra Maria Lara is a Romanian German film and TV actress most well-known for her roles in movies such as Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. Since she was the sole child of Romanian actress Valentin Platareanu, Alexandra started her showbiz career at a young age. She played lead roles in television dramas as early as 16 years old. Her highly acclaimed performance on the made-for-television film Der Tunnel paved way for some other memorable roles such as that of Adolf Hitler's secretary Traudl Junge, in the commercially and critically profitable Oscar nominated historical war drama film Downfall. The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex are two other Oscar nominated movies featuring female stars. Alexandra has worked on many notable projects, globally and nationally. They include her work on the British biographical Control Greek Drama film The Dust of Time and as the French historical Miniseries Napoleon. In addition, she was one of the members of both Cannes Film Festival jury and Transylvania International Film Festival.
