Alexandra Maria Lara (born in Romania) is an Romanian TV presenter and actress. She is best known for her role as the star of Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control as well as Rush. The only child of Romanian actors Valentin Platareu. Alexandra started her career in show business from a young age. At the age of 16, she was 16, Alexandra had landed the leading roles in numerous television dramas. Following her highly acclaimed performance in the TV film Der Tunnel, Alexandra went on to play other noteworthy characters like Adolf Hitler's secretary Traudljunge on Downfall. The film received nominations for an Oscar and was a critical as well as commercial great success. The Reader as well as Der Baader Meinhof Komplex were both nominated for Oscars.
